Hove, 07981 713163
I have been working as a counsellor in Brighton and Hove since 1997, and am a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My main model of working is the psychodynamic approach where the emphasis is on providing a secure and safe environment in which to explore both conscious and unconscious feelings, with an emphasis on understanding how past experiences are shaping and influencing your relationships in the present.
I also incorporate ideas from body psychotherapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and systemic thinking in my work, and am also also interested in the therapeutic use of creative expression especially the use of creative writing and art.
As well as extensive experience working with adults in private practice, I also have over 10 years experience working with young people from working in and managing a young people's counselling service.
Fees: £45 per 50 minute session (first session £20). Some concessions are available for those on a limited budget who are able to attend daytime sessions.
